Help – ‘to support, do good to’.
I’ve been so lucky to have lots of practical help from my beautiful family over the summer holiday break at a time when I’ve not physically been able to do very much.
A major job, completed by my wonderful step-father, and husband, was the building of a retaining wall along the driveway. It may seem like a small thing to others, but to me, it beautifully tidies up the landscaping that was done a few years ago.
And it in for the long-haul, my very dear friend ‘helped’ by pulling ten weeds from the front garden every time she visited. So very ‘helpful’!
And today, my beautiful daughter was my ‘helper’. She cut, laminated, and re-cut a million resources that I’ll be using with teachers during professional development sessions this week, and with students, during the year ahead.
It’s so awesome to have great ‘help’. I’m truly grateful for the ongoing support.
Now for a bit of fun, see if you can find the fifteen words that I’ve used to build the matrix for the <help> base element. To ‘help’, I’ll give you one to get you started:
help + ed –> helped
